We wanted to create this short blog to describe what has happened to our business and patients over the COVID-19 lockdown. Because of the line of work we’re in we were classified as a non essential business and therefore had to shut our doors once the lockdown was implemented. With this in mind it meant that we were unable to carry out any Botox or Hair Transplants.

During the lockdown we saw a huge increase in people signing up for online consultations with Dr Kevin to discuss possible options for their hair loss. These online consultations became a huge success and people really enjoyed the fact they could get a consultation with a local hair transplant doctor without having to travel.

The online consultations were great as Dr Kevin was able to successfully assess individuals hair throughout the video and was able to make some recommendations on what might be the best next steps post lockdown and when we were back open again.

Shopping Local

The lockdown has taught us all a lot of things about our country and that we now more than ever need to support local businesses over the next few months to try and get the economy back to where it once was. Since lockdown we’ve had way more bookings than we expected to have this year and are nearly booked up for the rest of the year with hair transplants.

People are doing what they can to support local businesses and are choosing to get their hair transplants at home in Ireland rather than travel abroad and get them done in Turkey. Not only is getting a hair transplant done locally a better choice by medical standard we are also very thankful of the fact that our patients have chosen us to carry it out.

We’d also like to thank everyone who has booked in with us in advance and who were looking for waiting lists. We had a lot of messages coming through on Instagram and Facebook and we have such an amazing and loyal client base that we are so grateful for.

We pride ourselves on delivering the highest standard of care for all our patients from the very first consultation to the months that follow after their transplant. Our patients enjoy having the safety net of knowing that their doctor is only a phone call away and that they can drop into the clinic in the unlikely event that any complications or concerns arise down the line.

Stopping Covid

Like most businesses we’ve done what we can to help suppress Covid-19 as much as possible and have shut our doors for 3 months in order to help contain it in line with the government’s guidelines. Now that we are back up and running we’ve gone above and beyond to ensure that our clinic is safe for both our staff and patients. As a medically led clinic we already have very high hygiene standards and since Covid we’ve implemented new procedures to up our already high hygiene standards. You can read more about them here.
